I applied for the capital one XXXXXXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. And they requested additional information showing income. I sent them my tax return form XXXX showing household income. But now they want me to show proof of my access to my XXXX income. I've called them multiple times and they say the tax return isn't proof of ownership. I need to get a letter signed from my husband showing that I have access to the funds. It is the stupidest thing ever because we are married, have XXXX bank accounts, we file taxes XXXX live at the same address. Why do I have to prove when the law states that I don't? According to the XXXX amendment I can claim my XXXX income as mine. Why do I have to prove this with paperwork? This is the dumbest thing I have ever come across. When the XXXX and the government count it as my income why does capital one have an issue? And need more proof? I find it extremely offensive
