Consumer Narrative

Well over a year ago I sent over 40 pages of documentation to each credit bureau Experian, XXXX, and XXXX. I have also previously filed a complaint with the CFPB. This information was from XXXX and contained police reports filed by me, an FTC identity theft report filed by me, and documents filed by my attorney in court. I still retain all of this information and copy of all is again provided to you here. I was a victim of severe identity theft of all assets during my divorce that began on XXXX XXXX XXXX valued at approximately XXXX XXXX dollars. Everything was stolen from me including all financial information, all money, all personal, marital, and inherited assets. On XX/XX/XXXX I was placed under a XXXX XXXX XXXX order by the court in XXXX XXXX NC and my husband was removed from our marital residence for XXXX year. Immediately after this court decision, my husband and the paramour engaged in an elaborate criminal scheme to steal all assets and use them for their own financial gain. Beginning XXXX XXXX XXXX I no longer had control or access to of any and all of my credit cards, bank accounts, account numbers, or passwords. I did not make any charges to these accounts after that date. My husband and the paramour had my social security number, my birth certificate, my drivers license, and my mothers maiden name. The paramour assumed my identity and pretended to be me, accessing all my credit card information, forwarding my mail, and using my accounts as her own. During XXXX, I also hired and paid approximately {$1200.00} to XXXX XXXX XXXX yet they too failed to take any action on my behalf. The persons responsible for all charges made on my accounts after XX/XX/XXXX were my x husband, XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX XXXX, NC, and the paramour XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX, VA. After sending all verification of proof of identity theft to all three credit bureaus they too also failed to verify the information. According to the law U.S. code 1681i. Procedure in case of disputed accuracy : if the completeness or accuracy of any item of information contained in a consumer 's file at a consumer reporting agency is disputed by the consumer and the consumer notifies the agency directly, or indirectly through a reseller, of such dispute, the agency shall, free of charge, conduct a reasonable reinvestigation to determine whether the disputed information is inaccurate and record the current status of the disputed information, or delete the item from the file in accordance with paragraph ( 5 ), before the end of the 30-day period beginning on the date on which the agency receives the notice of the dispute from the consumer or reseller.
