New American Funding is charging me late fees on my mortgage which are not due. I attempted to contact New American Funding in XX/XX/2023 via email to correct and resolve this issue but New American Funding was unresponsive. This is an unfair and deceptive business practice because it shows my mortgage account in arrears for late fees that are not due. It appears that the late fees are being factored into my mortgage payments because the fees are showing as due on mortgage statements at the beginning of the billing period, and are being included in my regular monthly mortgage payment. There is a 16 day grace period before late fees are supposed to be assessed, which is clearly stipulated on the mortgage statements provided by New American Funding.
