I am writing to follow up on my previous communication regarding account number XXXX. As I have previously mentioned, I have been attempting to have late payments removed from my credit report associated with this account in order to obtain a home loan. I have called several times to get this issue resolved, but it has not been rectified. The latest paperwork that you sent me does not address the issues I have raised. As I previously mentioned, I believe that your company has violated my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), specifically Section 604 ( a ) ( 2 ) which states that consumers have the right to privacy and that consumer reporting agencies can not furnish information about a consumer 's credit report without their written instructions. Furthermore, I believe that your company has violated Section 1666b of the FCRA, which states that a creditor may not treat a payment on a credit account under an open-end consumer credit plan as late for any reason. I request that you take immediate action to investigate my dispute and remove the negative information from my credit report. I also request that you provide me with a written explanation of how your company plans to ensure that my rights under the FCRA are not violated in the future. I expect a prompt response to this request, as this matter needs to be resolved quickly. Thank you for your attention to this matter
