Consumer Narrative

In a recent review of my credit reports, I found a " Collection '' account being reported to all three ( 3 ) credit reporting agencies in the name of XXXX XXXX XXXX. I contacted the company and all three ( 3 ) credit reporting agencies seeking " Validation '' and to inform them that I do not owe this debt, I do not recognize this debt and that my Consumer Rights have been violated. I received no notification of investigation from the credit reporting agencies, only to show that this " Collection '' was disputed by consumer and meet the FCRA requirements. The company itself has yet to provide me with any information. Furthermore, pursuant to the FDCPA Regulation F, this company has violated my rights by not adhereing to the follow law : Actions Which Must be taken Prior to Credit Reporting Prior to reporting a consumer debt to a credit reporting agency, the debt collector must now actually speak with the consumer about the debt, either on phone or in person, mail the consumer a letter about the debt and wait a reasonable period of time to receive a notice of undeliverability, or send the consumer a message by electronic communication and wait a reasonable period of time to receive a notice of undeliverability. The purpose of this amendment is to avoid the practice of debt collectors from reporting debts to collection agencies and then waiting for the consumer to contact them after the negative credit reporting is discovered by the consumer. The credit reporting agencies has allowed this and along with the company are breaking the law. They are willfully placing a negative, unverifiable account on my credit report without any proof that this alleged debt belongs to me.
