Central Portfolio sent a text message to my fathers number regarding my debt. Although the amount of debt and to whom I owe this debt to was not identified, my reference number was. Therefore, I feel that in this circumstance this third party can contact central portfolio with my information and find out that I owe this medical debt to a specific MD and when I had this visit. I do not want anyone knowing my medical information, even where I get my medical care from. This is not only unprofessional but I believe it violates my privacy. Another issue I had with Central Portfolio ; they contacted me via text of my boyfriends debt. We do not share the same last name. We do not live together. What made them feel so comfortable in taking action like this? Its very unsettling. I was not aware he was in debt, this is a deceitful act. Their agenda is to tarnish our reputation, as if they are threaten us to make payments.
