Hampton Roads Finance Company LLC has not responded to the last complaint and is still illegally attempting to garnish my wages through my employer and violating the Dodd-Frank Consumer Protection Act. While serving XXXX XXXX around XXXX was sold a XXXX XXXX XXXX with high mileage and engine issues through Hampton Roads Finance Company at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX for {$15000.00}. The vehicle was voluntarily surrendered after falling behind in payments since I had to pay for repairs and was only making a XXXX salary in the XXXX XXXX XXXX. Which at the time they threatened and contacted through my XXXX chain of command which instructed me to return the vehicle. They wrote off the account at {$10000.00} and sold the vehicle at auction at an unknown price. Today I am a XXXX veteran on a fixed income and they have and are still threating contact through my current employer 10 years later and threating legal action if they don't garnish my account on their behalf. They have so far received over {$11000.00} of my salaried money using this illegal tactic. They have told my employer I owe them {$43000.00} for a vehicle that would only be worth between $ XXXX {$4900.00} based on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX.
