Consumer Narrative
I refinanced the mortgage on my home in XX/XX/XXXX. PMI was automatically scheduled to fall off the loan in XX/XX/XXXX. It is still being charged on my current statement for payment due on XX/XX/XXXX. Further, I pay additional principal every month and I am 20 payments ahead of schedule. I am at payment 51 as to amount of principal left and PMI was scheduled to come off at payment 31. Meaning, my loan balance dropped below 78 % - when PMI should automatically terminate - over a year ago and has yet to be removed. I called Flagstar Mortgage about it in XXXX and again today to no avail.
