I had a check stolen in the mail and someone rewrote the check for {$1300.00}. They took it to XXXX XXXX and cashed it and of course fifth third bank ( my bank ) removed XXXX from my account. This happened on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. It shouldn't take 3 months or longer to correct this and return the funds to me. XXXX XXXX is dragging their feet on the investigation. I have filed a police report, a US postal report and domestic collections report at fifth third bank. The check was fraudulently cashed at XXXX XXXX and it's not my fault and I feel that I should be reimbursed immediately. Fifth third bank is telling me it could take 180 days and this is a ridiculous amount of time to withhold my money.
