I have a personal checking acct at Community Bank NA in XXXX XXXX XXXX, NY XXXX only use my checking acct as a secondary account and able to access online only- I don't receive paper statements- I had been locked out of my account for months since I dont use the account regularly- When I again got access to see it online on XXXX XXXX, I discovered there was a revolving amount being drafted from my acct- {$610.00} since XX/XX/XXXX. I immediately called my bank ( XXXX ) XXXX and they had me come in and sign 6 signature pages for disputing the 6 transactions that occurred either the XXXX or XXXX of every month starting XX/XX/XXXX. I was told from my local bank XXXX Community Bank NA from XXXX branch manager ) ) that another Community bank in XXXX XXXX NY transposed their bank ID number ( XXXX ) with mine ( XXXX ) and then also changed a number to reflect my personal checking acct number. I was sent letters from Community bank for the following date of transactions : XX/XX/XXXX - we have not completed our investigation- we issued you a provisional credit to your account and will notify me with 45 days of the results. If we discover an error did not take place, we will notify you that we are going to debit your account XXXX same message as above XX/XX/XXXX - we have credited your account-disputed transaction- {$610.00} XXXX we have completed our research regarding your dispute and the dispute was not submitted in a timely manner= they will not give me my money back XXXX we have credited your account-disputed transaction- {$610.00} XXXX we have credited your account-disputed transaction {$610.00} That does not make sense they will not credit my account for the false transaction that took place on XX/XX/XXXX
