I applied for a BJ 's credit card that is issued through Capital One around the beginning of XXXX. I filled out all of the pertinent information on the initial application. They came back asking for more information such as copies of my drivers license and social security card. They wanted me to mail the info, but I felt uncomfortable putting all of that information in one envelope. Instead, I faxed in the information which was allowed. After not hearing back from the credit card company, I called Capital One on XX/XX/10 to find out the status and they started asking for more information than what was already requested. They wanted my drivers license blown up in size and mailed along with a current bill. However, they never requested this initially. They seem like they are trying to deny my credit card, and are looking for a reason. My credit score is very high and there should not be a reason to be denied. I have never been denied before. The requirements from Capital One seem extreme and not consumer friendly.
