Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am writing to file a complaint against the consumer credit reporting agencies for violations of my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and my right to privacy. On XX/XX/23, I submitted a dispute to The 3 Major Credit reporting Agencies XXXX, Equifax, and XXXX regarding items on my credit report. I have attached the documents sent as proof! According to the FCRA, consumer credit reporting agencies are required to investigate disputes and respond within 30 days. However, They have failed to respond within this time frame, thereby violating my rights under the FCRA. Furthermore, I believe that the consumer credit reporting agencies have violated my right to privacy by reporting an account without my permission or written instructions. They did not provide me with any disclosures prior to reporting this account, which is also a violation of my rights under the FCRA. As a result of these violations, I have suffered significant harm to my credit standing and overall financial well-being. I request that the consumer credit reporting agencies be held accountable for their actions and that appropriate measures be taken to ensure that my rights are protected in the future.
