I sent a request to XXXX to remove Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA LLC because of identity theft. XXXX sent me a letter stating they did a reinvestigation and verified my information with Mercedes Benz Financial Services USA LLC ( MBFS ). XXXX did not remove the information as required by 15 USC 1681c-2 ( a ). XXXX violated my rights by contacting MBFS for a reinvestigation pursuant to 15 USC 1681d ( 4 ) and 15 USC 1681i ( 5 ) ( A ). I have filed an Identity Theft Affidavit with the XXXX website and do not understand why XXXX would contact MBFS with my information ( ssn, birth certificate ) and other PII, when MBFS is the company that did Identity theft. MBFS gave my personal identifiable information ( PII ) to a third-party company who stole the vehicle from my home, which is the reason ID theft was filed against them. In addition to identity theft, MBFS has sold the alleged debt to a company called XXXX XXXX XXXX with reference number ending in XXXX.
