Consumer Narrative

My name is XXXX XXXX, This all started when I started to get a mortgage and I was instructed to have a dispute mark removed from my credit. Just the dispute mark, not the debt itself. I was taking ownership of the debt. I had originally disputed this with the credit bureau, so I called them first to have the disputed mark removed not the debt. They did their process and it was done fairly quickly, I called XXXX XXXX XXXX that day after speaking with all 3 credit bureaus to inform them not to report it as disputed as a heads up. XXXX XXXX XXXX sent me to the Law Offices of XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. in XXXX and I spoke with XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX was very rude to me on the phone as I was just informing them not to report it as disputed. XXXX XXXX XXXX states : " We are not on your credit file therefore if you disputed it with the credit bureaus you will need to speak to them ''. I said, " Sir I understand what you are saying, however, XXXX XXXX XXXX directed me to you because you have my account and are managing it, therefore you can make sure that is not reported as disputed because that is not accurate reporting ''. XXXX XXXX XXXX repeated himself and was very rude to me, it is all in the recording. I then asked for a XXXX and asked him how long is the wait 24 to 48 hours? I can wait no worries. XXXX XXXX XXXX said " I will not send you to a supervisor because they will tell you the same thing ''. I then asked " XXXX XXXX XXXX are you denying me a supervisor call? He responded with " Sir I can send you to one right now, you are all over the place sir. '' he then transfers me to a supervisor whose name I don't remember and he also said the same thing and i said can you guys take a settlement or a payment plan? the supervisor says let me check and asks how much can I pay? I said probably about XXXX maybe. He said " No call me when you get closer to the balance '' So we then start talking about the age of the debt and the 7 years and I told him : " I would not be able to pay more until it's probably closer to the 7 years or if they take a lower settlement if at all ''. The supervisor says : " Well then they will probably get a move on it then '' I took that kind of language as a lawsuit and it caused me more stress on top of what they had already caused me. So now I'm stuck where no one is willing to help me and I start to feel stressed. I decided to wait to see what the bureaus do. I then had the mortgage company run my credit again and it was showing up again as disputed at this time I was speaking with either XXXX or experian when the woman said that XXXX XXXX XXXX had reported it that the Sunday of last week as disputed. So I redo the process again and I call XXXX XXXX XXXX afterward to inform them of what happened and that they reported it again as disputed causing me more stress and financial burden because I have to pay for every time the report is pulled. I spoke with the National Credit systems Operator who then sends me back to the same XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I get XXXX XXXX XXXX again. XXXX XXXX XXXX again as I tried to explain the situation and how XXXX XXXX XXXX reported it again as disputed after I called them and called all XXXX credit bureaus. XXXX XXXX XXXX repeated again what was mentioned above " They are not showing on my credit file, therefore they can't help me ''. However, they are collecting on behalf of XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX keeps sending me to them. He then says : " I can send you the credit bureaus information to call them ''. XXXX XXXX XXXX was not listening to me and what I was trying to tell him. I then asked, " XXXX XXXX XXXX, I understand what you're trying to tell me but that has already been done, who can I speak to about this dispute mark to make sure they stop inaccurately reporting it? XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX : " Sir you can speak to whoever you want to speak to in the world but I can not help you or give you any advice '' So I told him " if you inaccurately report this again I will file a lawsuit against your agency ''. At this point I was so stressed I could not even think straight, this is not good at all that this office does this violent collection practices. So I call XXXX XXXX XXXX and inform the operator that they do not want to help me or say they can't help me and XXXX states that " they can help me '' and proceeded to read a note on the account that they placed that reads : " That I do not wish to speak to them '' which is also completely Inaccurate. XXXX then gives me a phone number to call who is a direct line to XXXX XXXX XXXX apparently when I dialed XXXX XXXX XXXX and I left him a voice mail and he has not yer return my call. Please review these calls from Friday XX/XX/ and Monday of this week XX/XX/. It's all there. PLEASE HELP ME with this I don't know who else to turn to about this! No one is willing to help me resolve this issue. They also did divulge to me that it was a joint account with my ex-wife and they were not supposed to do that. They released personal information about another person who is my ex-wife and we are divorced.
