In 2019 I Voluntary Repo my XXXX XXXX because I had to leave a XXXX XXXXXXXX marriage and I was unable to afford the car as my ex-husband paid the car for me. I gave the car back and let them know I was unable to pay for it. I called XXXX XXXX financial yesterday and spoke to a woman and informed her that the account shows as opened which basically appears i still owe XXXX dollars a month for a car I do not own. I asked her to tell me what happened to the car and how much did they sell or auction the car off because it is my legal right to know how much money they received for the car as they can not continue to report on my credit report that I owe this when they have already received payment for the car. The lady said she was not allowed to tell me that. I asked her how I can get this taken off my credit report and she said you need to call the company who we sold the debt to. I asked her how I can find the people that hold the debt so I can speak with them she said she didn't know and didn't have any contact information to give me. I know it is my legal right to know how much they sold the car for, and that balance should be taken off my credit report as balance owed. There were no legal or repo fees as this was a voluntary repo. I do not owe this company and this needs to be removed my credit report and considered a closed account or a charge off.
