There are two mortgage accounts being reported open on my credit report. I disputed this with Experian on XX/XX/ and they did nothing. I have been denied credit because my report says I have two mortgages when I only have one. I have also called XXXX Mortgage to discuss this matter and stated that they was surprised that two accounts was reporting on my account and there should only be one but don't know what they could do to fix it and told me that they had no options for me to fix it. This is about the consumer report received via email dated XXXX XXXX While going through the same, I came to know about a few inaccuracies and even some fraudulent information that was reporting in it. According to 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 2 ) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act states " an elaborate mechanism must be developed for investigating and evaluating the credit worthiness, credit standing, credit capacity, character, and general reputation of consumers. '' Your company Experian falsely reported information that resulted in defamation of my character. Furthermore, your company created deceptive forms that made creditors and employers believe that these were valid debts and that I owe these alleged debts and could not pay, though you could not prove its validity. As a result, I was discriminated against and denied my right to extend credit. I suffered emotionally as well as from financial hardship. Your company is liable according to the Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 USC 1681o. I communicated with your company to dispute this information reported on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX After your investigation, your company stated your results were verified as accurate however you have a duty to investigate anything immediately that is reported to you to determine if the reported information is inaccurate. No such investigation was conducted by your company ever. Your company never communicated with me to verify and validate if the information being reported to you that you furnished on my consumer report was accurate. I also provided documentation in my dispute that this account was closed. And cause you did not do this it is impossible that your reinvestigation could provide your findings " reported as accurate ''. Furthermore, you violated my rights to consent and privacy when you conducted that investigation and this information was " reported '' to you in the first place and you did not contact me to determine if this reported information was accurate, your company, Experian, did not communicate with me to know if I consented to any of these transactions or this report. This is a violation of 15 USC 1681 ( a ) ( 4 ) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act which states " There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with FAIRNESS, IMPARTIALITY, and RESPECT for a consumers RIGHT to PRIVACY. '' If you accept my request, I will not escalate this matter to a federal complaint.
