Consumer Narrative
I filed for XXXX XXXX bankruptcy ; my loans included in the schedule filed as docket XXXX with the court. On court docket XXXX text, the court trustee XXXX XXXX XXXX verbally confirms the discharge order granting the claims scheduled of {$110000.00} is XXXX without payment. Docket XXXX entry then states, This is a text-only entry. There are no documents attached. Page XXXX of court docket XXXX also states, debts for most student loans are not included in this bankruptcy. I have sent XXXX XXXX certified mail with 25-page exhibits to prove this private loan for a school that doesnt receive Title IV funding is unlike most protected loans my court paperwork reiterates are protected and is in fact among those eligible for discharge. I am attaching XXXX XXXX written response to my dispute that states they did their research and have confirmed UNM Continuing Education ( UNMCE ) is an accredited college. XXXX unsure how XXXX XXXX obtained this information because I have provided them with the following link for the Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions and Programs XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX to confirm accreditation. XXXX is not a four-year school called the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ; this is a trade certificate school called XXXX Continuing XXXX XXXX XXXX ). I will also attach my enrollment emails with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, who details how XXXX is NOT an accredited program and is merely a professional development program. In other emails, XXXX informs me that this online course will have an externship available at the completion to gain hands-on phlebotomy/EKG experience, etc. XXXX states this will include an externship since I initiated this email, stating the externship as my desire to pursue this program versus others researched. However, after my program, I received an email from XXXX, which is the servicer that XXXX allows to host this course, stating there were no externships available in my hometown yet. Therefore, I included this email to XXXX XXXX with the 25-page exhibits to prove how this can now classify under ATB Falsification . However, XXXX XXXX 's response letter states this is an issue with the school, not them. I know from sources such as this consumer gov domain ( https : //www.consumerfinance.gov/about-us/blog/busting-myths-about-bankruptcy-and-private-student-loans/ ) that I do not need to hold an adversary meeting to prove ATB Falsification XXXX for this type of non-accredited school and it is and can be discharged with regular consumer debts. However, XXXX XXXX is disputing the fact that this school is accredited too. The fact that the hands-on externship wasn't available at completion has hindered my ability to obtain employment as a XXXX XXXX. XXXX program supervisor, states in this email, " Many of our graduates go on to work for doctors offices and health care providers, one of such is XXXX. However, XXXX XXXX due to their own internal rules requires an accredited college program, which we are not. '' NOTE : unable to attach entire 25-page exhibit listing because it's XXXX KB so I am attaching a condensed version. Please reach out to me if needed.
