My original debt was with XXXX, who sold the collection to XXXX XXXX XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX XXXX contacted me with a settlement offer, which I accepted and paid in the amount of {$3400.00}. The item was listed on my credit as paid and I thought this was over. One year later, I got a letter by mail from D & A Services stating that I owe them {$2300.00}. I called the company numerous times and sent in all verification that was asked, yet they have refused to correct this item, and are advising me to contact XXXX, although D & A is the company that has listed a new debt on my credit. I do not know where else to go with this, this company has ruined my credit at a time where I am in the process of trying to purchase a home, and refuses to correct their actions. This item was paid since XXXX of XXXX, is listed on my credit as paid, and here they come with a new collection attempt. This is very deceptive and a practice that I wanted to bring to the attention of the Federal Government.
