To whom it may concern : I received a copy of my credit report with the intention of trying to take care of my responsibilities and noticed an account that I wanted a little more explanation on. I am not saying they are reporting right or wrong. I am saying that I am not 100 % sure if they are. I read in the FCRA that it said by law, I had the right to challenge anything I am not sure is accurate. According to 15 USC sec 1781i ( a ) : if you can't provide proof, the account must be deleted. I want to have the account deleted if it's not 100 % accurate. Could you check on this and get back to me? I saw on a credit site and board, the lawyer said you have 30 days to complete this investigation. Please investigate the following account and remove it if anything is missing or not correct on it. XXXX XXXX XXXX. # XXXX This account has been verified, however, the original creditor said that they don't have this information, so how are you truly verifying this account? I will have to pursue legal counsel if this is the case. Also, please let me know who had access to my file as well.
