Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am writing to request your assistance in regards to my credit report. There is an item on there that I would like investigated. Summary : I made a payment to my credit card company before the due date. The credit card company claims they did not receive the payment and charged off my account. However I have emails showing the due date, the scheduled payment date, and a pdf from my bank showing the ACH withdrawal. My account was charged off even though I made the required payment on the before the due date. Original Creditor : CB Indigo Bank aka Genesis FS Current owner of Debt : XXXX XXXX XXXX Amount owed as reported : {$300.00} XX/XX/2022 : I received an email from Indigo Credit Card Services informing me that I had a payment due on XX/XX/2022 for the amount of {$320.00}. XX/XX/2022 : I received another email informing me that my payment has been received and scheduled for XX/XX/2022 for the amount of {$320.00}. XX/XX/2022 : An ACH withdrawal was debited from my checking account for the amount of {$320.00} by Genesis FS. XX/XX/2022 : Due date, as referenced in the email. According to my credit report, CB Indigo charged off my account on XX/XX/2022. I never received a notice regarding this action. In fact, I was sent emails informing me of my next due date. When I tried to contact Indigo regarding this matter, they stonewalled me and told me they no longer had access to my files and therefore could not discuss this matter. My account should have never been sent to a debt collector. It is my belief that this debt violates my consumer rights according to the FRCA. I would like to request that this account be removed from my credit report. Each consumer is entitled to a fair and accurate credit report and this behavior by Indigo strongly violates these statutes. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
