I leased a XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX putting a down payment down and making payments on time. It was an in-house payment center with XXXX XXXX but recently they completely closed on XX/XX/XXXX. I was not made aware by email, phone or mail about the company closing. I cant call a customer service line or make online payments as it is closed permanently as well. As a consumer I should have been notified about this financing company closing. Online I am directed to a website called XXXX XXXX XXXX which is a debt collector. I am not in debt with American financial. Their company was closed because they are in debt. My account should not be transferred to XXXX XXXX XXXX without my consent in a contract with my signature on it. XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX does not have license to work in the state of South Carolina. I should be able to get back all my payments made to American financial in my down payment is well. As I have been researching, it is illegal for a company to receive down payment on a vehicles once I have given my name ssn and other information. Please help me.
