Consumer Narrative

On XX/XX/XXXX of this year, Truist Bank changed the terms of my checking account, ( which I have had for at least 8 years ) without notifying me. My account had never had a minimum balance requirement before. Suddenly I had a {$25.00} charge on my account and was then told by my bank that my checking account now has a {$25000.00} minimum balance requirement to avoid fees. This change was never disclosed to me. I was then forced into a different checking account to avoid these fees. My new checking account does not have the same benefits as my old one. I believe the bank did this to force me out of my checking account which had good benefits.
