XXXXXXXX XXXX has changed its general purpose credit card from XXXX to Capital One. I paid my last bill in full three weeks before the due date. Capital One has charged me ( and likely every other customer ) a {$29.00} late fee, although I paid my bill in full. I think this is likely to have happened across the board with former XXXX customers of XXXX. They will waive the fee, but if they are charging hundreds of thousands of other customers, most will not notice the extra late fee! This could be very costly for XXXX 's customers, lucrative for Capital One, and very unfortunate that Capital One did not take a proactive approach to letting all of us know that the fees were applied incorrectly and should be waived across the board! I let Capital One know that I would be filing a complaint. Each of us should not have to make a call to the credit card company to get this resolved!!
