Wells Fargo Rewards credit card is engaging in usury. I am in a catch 22 with this company. My payments are normally {$60.00} per month, but for some unknown reason lately I have been assessed a {$70.00} monthly interest charge where I am having to double my monthly payment to {$140.00} in order to keep up with the payments. This incidents brings to mind student loans where the student makes payments but instead of decreasing the balance, the balance increases. I am a senior citizen with a fixed income and this can not continue. I called Wells Fargo hoping to switch to a non-interest bearing credit card, but the phone rep acted as though I was speaking in Greek. When I suggested that I should close this account, he was happy to oblige me instead of working with me to apply for another credit card that does not charge a usury monthly interest.
