I applied to the XXXX XXXX apartment complex in XXXX, Florida in XXXX of 2022. The application fee was {$75.00}, followed by a {$300.00} administrative fee for move in. However, I did not qualify to move in, yet they have still been attempting to charge me the entire {$370.00}, as if I had even been approved to move in, in the first place. Secondly, if the fee for the application is {$75.00}, what else could they possibly need a {$300.00} administration fee for when I did not get approved to move in. It literally does not make any sense. It is just a scam to try to charge people this amount for simply applying and then falsely reporting it is a debt or collection to be paid. I have already filed a complaint with the local XXXX XXXX XXXX, and filed disputes with XXXX and XXXX, as well as directly to the collection agency itself. False credit reporting is illegal, if any party involved needed to be reminded. Therefore, I am asking that this false debt stop being added back on to my credit report, especially when it was already once removed.
