My name is XXXX XXXX, an attorney at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I am submitting this CFPB complaint on behalf of my client, XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX 's Loan Account Number is XXXX. His address is XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX OH XXXX. He has a VA Loan that is serviced by Loan Depot LLC. Loan Depot failed to provide XXXX XXXX with reasonable, good faith efforts at servicing his loan by refusing to cooperate with XXXX Homeowner Assistance Fund ( HAF ) process. Specifically, they failed to respond to the Save the Dream program run through the Ohio Housing Finance Agency ( OHFA ). Had they responded to a records request from the Save the Dream program, XXXX XXXX would have reinstated his loan. But XXXX XXXX is still in foreclosure. XXXX XXXX originally applied for HAF funding through OHFAs Save the Dream program on XXXX XXXX XXXX. He was approved on XXXX XXXX XXXX. OHFA sent Loan Depot a request for records soon thereafter. Loan Depot has still not responded to OHFA after nearly two months. Loan Depot has been notified of the pending records request on at least six separate occasions, but they have still chosen to do nothing. Within the next few days, Loan Depot 's neglect will have caused the past due balance to increase beyond the {$25000.00} mortgage assistance cap set by Save the Dream. This complicates the process and places an additional, unnecessary hurdle in front of XXXX XXXX 's path to reinstating his loan. Loan Depot 's failure to respond is unacceptable. For the last month, they have prevented XXXX XXXX veteran with a VA Loanhis wife, and his XXXX children from reinstating their loan and living free from the stress of an active foreclosure case.
