Consumer Narrative
This is a formal complaint lodged against Equifax regarding inaccuracies on my credit reports, specifically hard inquiries, which they claim to be verified. Equifax by not properly providing me with proper documentation within the required time frame, and I have evidence of such, via certified mail receipts : USPS Certified Mail and Return Receipt sent by Notary Public : XX/XX/XXXX Certified Mail # XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX Certified Mail # XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX Certified Mail # XXXX RRR Maybe they didn't get the part in my last letter where I said these CREDITORS were unknown and that they need to be removed, just because they said " verified '', it doesn't change the fact that I have no clue where it came from! They had enough time to verify these alleged accounts and because they didn't at any time send me even ONE shred of evidence that these were my accounts accounts or that I have the liability or responsibility or ownership, they need to be deleted. I'm pretty certain that they violated a bunch of federal laws : 1. Equifax didn't prove the creditor even responded 2. Equifax didn't send me anything at all to verify this was mine 3. Equifax are being paid to report this by a credit I cant even get a hold of 4. This is absolutely false info being reported and section 609 protects me specifically against this! As per FCRA 623 ( a ) ( 3 ) - Responsibilities of furnishers of information to consumer reporting agencies [ 15 USC 16 [ s-2 ] ] ( 3 ) Duty to provide notice of dispute. If the completeness or accuracy of any information furnished person to any consumer reporting agency is disputed to such person by a consumer, the person may furnish the information to any consumer reporting agency without notice that such information by the consumer. ( B ) Time of Notice ( I ) The notice required under subparagraph ( A ) shall be provided to the consumer prior to, or no later than 30 days after, furnishing the negative information to a consumer reporting agency described in section 68 I will be seeking {$5000.00} in damages for the following : 1 ) Defamation 2 ) Negligent Enablement of Identity Fraud XXXX ) Violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act
