Consumer Narrative

On XXXX XX/XX/2023 XXXX XXXX received {$1100.00} from my bank and deposited the money in their account but they put the amount on hold. The hold was because a discrepancy in the escrow account due to the H06 insurance increased. The correct amount was {$1200.00} therefore, there was a discrepancy of {$110.00}. I never received any e-mail or mail regarding the discrepancy to get my attention. They said they tried to call me, but because the many unsolicited calls I get from XXXX my phone system might have blocked the call. I would like to point out that XXXX DO NOT send statements via e-mail or mail. They only send an e-mail with a link saying that documents are available online and do not show any amounts which would have gotten my attention. On XXXX I went into the website and I realized that the amount had change. I immediately contacted XXXX and the agent told me to pay {$230.00} ( two months ) to bring the account current. He said to go to the site and pay it, which I did. However, instead of taking only the {$230.00} for the escrow difference the site took {$2700.00}. Which is 2x the {$1200.00} + {$230.00}. I realized this when I got the confirmation e-mail. Since then I have been calling XXXX to get my money back to no avail. Please remember that they already had the {$1100.00} from XXXX payment. So in total XXXXXXXX XXXX took from me {$3800.00}. They apply these funds without consulting me and posted on the web portal that my account was paid until XXXX. However, the real injury is not that I'm out thousands of dollars but that XXXX also reported my account as delinquent. I had excellent credit before this fiasco but the late payment report took 91 pts from my score. This will greatly affect many areas of my financial life and the ability to get a fair deal on loans for the next 3 years. This is totally unfair because there was not LATE PAYMENT. I have called several times and I have spoken to a supervisor and they keep saying that the late payment is correct and there's nothing they can do. The system is designed on their favor
