I had a fraudulent hard inquiry appear on my TransUnion and XXXX credit reports on XX/XX/XXXX. The source of the inquiry was XXXX XXXX XXXX. I called on XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, and TransUnion on XX/XX/XXXX. TransUnion required me to mail documents. I was told what documents to send. Those are attached to this complaint. I mailed these in a white envelope, hand addressed, on XX/XX/XXXX. In the meantime, XXXX XXXX XXXX sent something out stating that the inquiry was fraudulent and I uploaded documents to XXXX. The inquiry was removed from my XXXX credit report by XX/XX/XXXX. I followed up with a couple calls, probably a week apart, to TransUnion. One representative told me that they couldn't use my documents because I did not have a report number on this. ( I was later told by a TU supervisor that this was not true since I sent a copy of my drivers license ). Another representative told me I had to have a letter from XXXX XXXX XXXX. I called XXXX XXXX XXXX back and they told me they had no such process, but would send another alert to the credit bureaus that the inquiry was fraudulent. I received a letter from TransUnion saying something about a 3rd party working on my behalf. I ignored it, since I did not and have a 3rd party working on my behalf at any point in this process. I called again on XX/XX/XXXX and was told by this TransUnion rep that they would reach out to XXXX XXXX XXXX. I called on XX/XX/XXXX. I was on the phone for over an hour with XXXX supervisors. I was told that I had to resubmit my forms because a department, which I could not speak to, had determined that my forms had been sent by a third party. Again, I have attached these forms below and you will see no evidence of a third party. I asked why resubmitting them would result in a different outcome, and the supervisor had no answer. This supervisor said she would reach out to XXXX XXXX XXXX. Since that did not work the first time, I have no reason to believe it will work this time. Additionally, TU has a chat function on their website. I had a couple experiences of submitting a chat and having it indicate that a representative would be with me soon. It would be a couple hours before the representative would respond.
