Due to the 2017 Equifax data breach that i personally was affected by due to my credit and personal information being susceptible to identity theft hackers. This breach has affected my personal life in regards to acquiring credit to maintain and advance my living situation, employment issues and most importantly was housing issues as well. This breach has made my life extremely difficult. The cost of having to freeze and unfreeze my credit reports, the cost of credit monitoring services after this breach, dealing with the fraud and identity theft issues that has been documented through previous CFPB complaints with all 3 of the credit agencies. All these things have severely impacted my financial situation and made my life difficult due to Equifax negligence in securing consumers information. The cost of all of these things is almost incalculable, well beyond {$20000.00} this issue has impacted me in ways beyond money. I filed for the Equifax breach settlement and haven't received a settlement and punitive damages for something that i had no control over. This issue is solely in the hands of Equifax. The punitive damages is beyond and incalculable what the max amount of settlement Equifax is offering. The maximum settlement would hardly suffice.
