I recently received a notice of adverse action from a utility company in my county. I called the utility company to confirm which credit scoring model they used and they confirmed that they used a TEC score which was provided by Experian. I contacted Experian to determine how I could access the information and score contained in the TEC report but Experian only provides options to obtain a FICO score for free or a XXXX score for a fee. Experian does not provide any access to the information contained in the TEC report. This makes it impossible for the consumer to verify or dispute inaccurate information contained in this report. I would like to know what is being reported on my individual TEC report as my identity has been compromised before.
