I was first notified by a telephone call in XXXX from a woman who told me she was coming to my home to have me arrested and seize my property because I owed a debt to XXXX financial. I hung up and called XXXX, they had no record of any debt ever in my name. I had purchased a XXXX laptop and paid cash at XXXX. I contacted the store manager and he said it was a scam and to disregard it. So, I called the federal trade commission the same day and reported the number. Since the summer XXXX XXXX, the debt collectors then called my senior parents and told them I owed money and if they didn't pay I would be arrested. After that I continued to get mail for this debt. I've called the company and told them I do not have any record of a debt with that company. And that it was never on my credit report. I contacted the company they are collecting for and they have no record of me owning money. But the calls and letters continue. Today I received another bill. I called again and asked them to stop. I have NEVER had a debt, credit card, loan, or payment plan with XXXX XXXX. I have no idea what this even is. I have pulled copies of my credit report for years. It's never showed up. I asked for a loan document with my signature, no one has given me anything. I don't know if this was sold to a debt collector as a scam or if it is identity theft but I don't have a debt with these people. And they have continued to harass me, my parents and the ones before them, harassed me as well!
