On XX/XX/XXXX, I visited a Capital One " cafe '' branch in XXXX XXXX, XXXX, MA in order to resolve a freeze that had been placed on my saving account 3 months prior. ( I filed a separate complaint about this issue earlier today ). As I spent months trying to resolve the issue with Capital One, and they still would not remove the freeze on my account even when I went to this branch in person to verify my identification today, I demanded that they return my money from their savings account ( {$15000.00} ), which I had transferred from my bank account on XX/XX/XXXX. The Capital One representative told me they could not send the money back, would not explain why, and said I had to get the money back by going to my bank and asking them to retrieve the funds from Capital One. In essence, Capital One has held my money in this savings account for 3 months, have given me NO interest on it ( they advertise 3.4 % APY on this account ) and is not sending my money back to my bank account from where it came. I feel they are holding my money illegally. I have attached a bank statement which shows the {$15000.00} transferred out of my other bank account ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) to Capital One on XX/XX/XXXX. I've also attached XXXX statements from XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX by Capital One showing the money in my savings account there and zero interest accumulated. Capital One has not provided me a XX/XX/XXXX statement still for this account.
