There are three credit cards on my credit report. These cards are being reported as charge offs and/or collections. This is affecting my ability to obtain a much needed loan. I have contacted the credit card companies and they claim to have verified the debt. I don't know how they could verify the debt when my social security number was used to obtain the cards but at an address that I have never lived at. My social security number is connected to to my current address which I have been at since XXXX. I have filed a policy report with the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX. Genesis Bank Card Services was taken out on XX/XX/XXXX using the address XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, GA XXXX, the balance is {$980.00} I have never lived in Georgia and Social Security and my tax returns prove that. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was opened on XX/XX/XXXX the balance is XXXX. This card was opened under my maiden name of XXXX. I was married and changed my name in XXXX, again proven by my tax returns and social security number. The next account is CB Indigo taken out XX/XX/XXXX with a balance of {$980.00}. Again, this is not my account and I am not responsible for this bill. My identity was stolen, my social security number has been compromised and these banks are NOT verifying the person who is making the online applications.
