I, just today, realized that LVNV Funding is reporting the wrong amount as a negative on my credit report. I was initially contacted by their affiliate ( Resurgence ) demanding {$1700.00}. They fraudulently and falsely claim to the credit bureaus an inflated amount of $ XXXX. This harms my credit and makes it look worse than reality. I have no agreement with LVNV funding, whatsoever, let alone XXXX that allows them to charge me in addition to what XXXX XXXX believes that I owe them. Thus, LVNV Funding CAN NOT claim to credit bureaus that I owe anything over {$1700.00}. In addition, the " debt '' is so old that they should not be reporting it at all anymore. This, too, harms my credit and causes me a great deal of damages. I am paying far too much for my car loan and for my credit cards now, as a result. LVNV is the ONLY negative on my report according to XXXX XXXX / XXXX XXXX. Thus, there is no one else to blame for higher interest rates and denied applications.
