I applied for a new credit card for a balance transfer. I was approved on the XXXX of XXXX and received an email stating will take up to 2 weeks. Three weeks later it never went through, I called customer service several times during that time and got several dates about when account opened when it would go though. Finally I asked a supervisor if it can be stopped and I was informed no only way is to cancel the card I said ok cancel it, and they did. I called the following week because it showed that after I cancelled they went through. When I called again another supervisor informed me that it did not go through and I had nothing to worry about. I had to escalate it further to find out that it did go through even though was cancelled and they did not care that their representatives basically lied and did not clearly know their job.
