Requested temporary credit lift freeze from Equifax because Equifax would not permit me to manage the credit freeze online ; called service number as directed. Provided identification as directed including upload of driver license. On XXXX separate occasions agents falsely stated that no freeze is active on my account. After being insistent, I was told that my date of birth on record is wrong despite being clearly displayed correctly on my most recent credit report from XXXX days ago. In addition, the agents both had access to my correct date of birth as part of the driver license. I am now being asked to send in XXXX documents for verification plus a cover letter to hear back in XXXX business days because I am also not permitted to use the dispute service online. This is beyond incompetent and affects my ability to perform business in a timely manner.
