On XX/XX/2023 I spoke to someone at westlake financial regarding a payment arrangement for my car note in the amount of XXXX the representative at the time assured me that my request was approved and I would not be charged any additional fees. On XX/XX/XXXX and the XXXX I received calls from this number ( XXXX ) XXXX - XXXX stating my account was past due and asking when I was making a payment I was never given this number as a contact reference from the dealership I brought the car from or the finance company. I called Westlake financial at XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to XXXX XXXX about my car note and I stated to her that I already spoken to a representative and made an arrangement to pay on a certain date she assured and stated to me on a recorded line that it was noted in my account that a payment would be made XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX also XXXX XXXX stated that effective immediately tomorrow I would not be receiving anymore calls from the ( XXXX ) XXXX - XXXX number anymore when I made her aware that I wasnt given this number by anyone at westlake or the car dealership she didnt confirm that was one of westlake financial numbers but instead she just got silent and said umhmm yea and proceeded to state that she would have to speak to a supervisor to get my request approved. After already speaking to a supervisor and representative 10 days before my request was already approved and granted but what XXXX XXXX mentioned to me was surprising she said I would have to secure that payment arrangement with a credit card or checking account the representative I spoke to on XX/XX/XXXX never stated anything about having to secure the payment he said I can just call their ( XXXX ) XXXX - XXXX number back and make a payment with a credit or debit card for the XXXX amount. Also the representative before XXXX XXXX stated that a {$5.00} dollar charge would be added on when making the payment over the phone with a credit or debit card and when I mentioned that to XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX charge come from. I am starting to think Westlake financial is a scam company because its always something new every time I speak to a representative at this company.
