In the past three years I have had poor credit ratings due to the way credit bureaus report. The lower your credit for inquiries even though in most cases an inquiry does not increase your debt. Your score should not be affected by inquiries, only increased debt. Financial institutions invariably report bad information and the bureaus run with it. Most of the reports are severely outdated and information is missing. Credit bureaus do not take into consideration your assets which in my case more than offset my debt. One example with XXXX XXXX for example who reported a late payment. The late payment was due to their online payment system being down and as they continued to have problems with their system I paid off the credit card and closed the account. The only thing I got out of that was a reported late payment which stays on my account when I should have received a XXXX on the back for paying off the credit card and closing it. Another case I had a loan which I paid every month and when I paid the last payment the bureaus showed the account as being closed as if I defaulted when actually I completed the payments without missing a single one and the loan was paid. They are pathetic and have no idea about personal credit. They are completely systemized, and it is a bad system.
