Inquiry on all three credit reports from Capital One on XX/XX/XXXX that I did not make. Per the instructions from Capital One, I sent a letter, along with my personal information, and copies of my credit report. I received a letter on XX/XX/XXXX that states they didn't receive my information. The only way Capital One would have known to send me a letter is if they received my letter first. I called Capital One and they acknowledged they opened a case but didn't receive my information. I explained that the only way they would have opened a case is if I contacted them first. They refused to help any further other than requiring me to send in my information again ( which I reluctantly did ). In addition, my credit is frozen due to an unauthorized inquiry made in XXXX of last year. Notes on my credit reports state this, and also state to call me to confirm my identify. Capital one did not reach out to confirm my identity. They also did not open an account as far as I'm aware. They should have proactively removed the inquiry from my report due to it being unauthorized. Attached is a copy of the letter from Capital One, along with the second letter I sent to them and all other supporting documentation.
