Consumer Narrative

Opened auto loan with Wells Fargo ( WF ) XX/XX/XXXX, established an on-line account with WellsFargo.Com. Entered my XXXX XXXX XXXX checking account information and paid on-line monthly from XXXX 's with no issue until XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXXXXXX XXXX when I tried to make on-line payment for XX/XX/XXXX I was alerted that I had to enter my non-Wells Fargo Bank account information ( even though I had been using my XXXX XXXX account since XX/XX/XXXX ) in order to make a payment. I re-entered my XXXX 's account info and tried to make a payment. I received an alert that there was an issue with my account and my payment was not accepted. I called Wells Fargo that day and they said I would receive an e-mail verifying my XXXX XXXX account and then I could make a payment. I never received the verifying email. I called and WF told me it could take a few days. I still did not receive email in 3 days. I called again and WF said for me to re-enter my XXXX 's account info again. I did so on XXXX. I still did not ever receive a verifying email. On XXXX I called and had to make a payment over the phone. When I did so my XXXX 's account info was on file and they asked did I want to use that account. I said yes. On XX/XX/XXXX I received a letter confirming my XXXX payment and alerting me that if I wanted to cancel I must do so on XXXX before XXXX XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX when I tried to make my XXXX XXXX payment I had the exact same problem even though I repeatedly entered my non-WF bank account info. I had to pay by phone again and on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX also received a confirming letter saying I must cancel payment, if I wanted to, by XXXX # 1. Wells Fargo, after XXXX XXXX years, arbitrarily changed my ability to use my non-WF bank account to make an on-line monthly payment. # 2. WF never approved my numerous times to follow their instructions on verifying the use of my non-WF bank account to make an on-line payment. Even though they had my XXXX 's bank information on file. # 3. WF has made it extremely inconvenient to pay my auto loan monthly if I am not using a WF bank account. It's like they are trying to force me to open a checking account with them. # 4. WF forces me to make a phone payment even though they have my XXXX 's account info on file. WF sends a confirmation of phone payment and alert that cancellation of that payment must occur on the day of payment. That letter is not received until 4 days after the phone payment. Cancellation info is not given at time of phone payment.
