I had a credit card with Capital One in XXXX. Unfortunately, due to financial issues, I was unable to pay the balance and the account was reported as XXXX. In XXXX, I did receive collection calls from a different agency for a few months and then the calls stoped. In XXXX is when i started receiving calls again by someone named XXXX to discuss solutions to my credit card balance. The credit card debt should have fallen off by XXXX if the account was unpaid since XXXX. I feel as though the credit card collections are restarting my clock on this debt and Im curious to know how this can be legally allowable. I have already suffered enough of a financial hardship with having this on my credit report, but to have it restarted is completely unacceptable. I am please requesting that the error be corrected since the account was technically charged off in XXXX. My credit report shows that I have numerous months of late payment since XXXX.
