I have been fighting Transunion for many years regarding two fraudulent accounts showing on my credit report. XXXX and XXXX have removed the accounts but Transunion will not follow suit. I have a right as a consumer to have a true and correct credit report which at this moment I do not. I sent in an Identity Theft Report for the two accounts in question and still they remain. I recently spoke with a Transunion rep who informed me that Transunion does not do any investigating. The only thing they do is alert the creditor that the consumer raised a dispute and go solely off their word even if we send documentation supporting our claim which I did twice now. I feel that as the furnisher of the data people look at to extend credit they should have more responsibility. It is unfair to us as the consumers for them to not ask any questions or care about our side of things. The only solution the rep gave was to file a complaint here but as far as my report they were not going to help and I feel that is wrong. I hope that something is done about their dispute process and that these two accounts are finally removed. All of Transunion calls are recorded so it should be easy to verify everything I was told.
