They asked for a promise to pay, and I told them I would be making a full payment including past balance on XX/XX/2023. They said they would make a note to file. I asked if they were going to close the account before then. They said they could not provide that information. This week, they apparently closed the account. I called them on XX/XX/XXXX, the moment I found out, and their phone system said that they were having technical difficulties and hung up. I believe XXXX misled consumers and sold accounts to a malicious third party in order to avoid bankruptcy.
