We are possibly looking to buy a different house. We went to a mortgage company to start the process. They did a " soft pull '' with the credit bureaus. This, I was told, was not supposed to trigger the credit bureaus. The very next day, one phone received almost 30 calls from mortgage companies and others. It has now been a couple of weeks and we are still receiving between 10 to 20 calls a day depending on the day. This is of course EXTREMELY disruptive. Especially when one uses the phone for work and is going to get calls from unknown numbers for work, one can't just ignore the phone. We don't have a choice that these companies gather info on us. Why should they be able to do this to us? 20 phone calls a day is an invasion of privacy. Help! What can we do to stop this?
