I signed up for and qualified for a checking account, called prime checking Several years ago, one of the features of this account was reimbursement of non-Wells Fargo, ATM fees. I found out today that the prime account. they set me up in was for a checking account. I never use whether this was purposeful or a mistake on their part Im being charged ATM fees Going back several years. I have six accounts with this bank two of which are checking accounts one of which I dont use it has a small balance I dont even have a debit card for this account and thats the one they have signed the prime account to not the checking account that has a large balance, and I use every day including direct deposit of payroll so what Wells Fargo did was use the prime account on a checking account I dont use so wouldnt take advantage of all the waving of charges and kept the account I do use with the plan that charges all the fees I cant help but think this was purposeful, a way of tricking me into thinking I have all the services that are free, but in reality, theyve been charging me for years
