My XXXX XXXX account alerted me to a hard credit check by Capital One. I had seen a credit card junk mail from them in my USPS app that tells me about my daily mail. I was in another state on vacation. I never got that mail-and I know that other mail had been stolen from that box, because I received a separate alert on that account. I called Capital One. The person I got spoe limited English, and appeared to be speaking from a script. She could only help me by giving me a mailing address to some anonymous department-I am not even sure that she understood my problem at all. I want automatic denial of any credit card application to Capital One, and I want the hard inquiry on my credit report removed.
