This is a concern about the policies of the credit agencies, not a current error in my score/report. I have a single account with a credit/debit card. This is all I've needed for years to manage purchases, etc. I have an excellent credit rating except for XXXX of the components of the score : number of credit cards owned. Because of this XXXX component, my score drops from excellent to " fair ''. It seems wrong to me that, their score requires me to purchase a service ( a new credit card ) which drives usage of their services in order to receive a better score that influences all kinds of other things ( ability to finance a car, house, get internet service, etc. ). Seems to me this is an unfair practice on their part. It's completely fair to measure me against my ability to pay for the services i already have, but unfair to make me buy more services to improve my score. Thanks for reviewing this.
