Consumer Narrative
Date : XX/XX/22, I sent out a letters XXXX, to XXXX, TransUnion, XXXX. Here is my tracking number ; during this investigation they said everything was 100 % accurate and Transunion said theyre not reinvestigating my items too. 15 U.S. Code 1681a - Definitions ; rules of construction ( e ) The term investigative consumer report means a consumer report or portion thereof in which information on a consumers character, general reputation, personal characteristics, or mode of living is obtained through personal interviews with neighbors, friends, or associates of the consumer reported on or with others with whom he is acquainted or who may have knowledge concerning any such items of information. However, such information shall not include specific factual information on a consumers credit record obtained directly from a creditor of the consumer or from a consumer reporting agency when such information was obtained directly from a creditor of the consumer or from the consumer. I would like to know more about who did they speak with? How did they complete this investigation? This doesnt correspond to the definition. 15 U.S. Code 1681i - Procedure in case of disputed accuracy ( a ) Reinvestigations of disputed information ( 1 ) Reinvestigation required ( A ) In general Subject to subsection ( f ) and except as provided in subsection ( g ), if the completeness or accuracy of any item of information contained in a consumers file at a consumer reporting agency is disputed by the consumer and the consumer notifies the agency directly, or indirectly through a reseller, of such dispute, the agency shall, free of charge, conduct a reasonable reinvestigation to determine whether the disputed information is inaccurate and record the current status of the disputed information, or delete the item from the file in accordance with paragraph ( 5 ), before the end of the 30-day period beginning on the date on which the agency receives the notice of the dispute from the consumer or reseller. ( B ) Extension of period to reinvestigate Except as provided in subparagraph ( C ), the 30-day period described in subparagraph ( A ) may be extended for not more than 15 additional days if the consumer reporting agency receives information from the consumer during that 30-day period that is relevant to the reinvestigation. I would like to how does TransUnion hold the right to say, They will no longer further investigate. When 15 U.S. Code 1681i, says theres not limitation to reinvestigation if the report is determined inaccurate, as you can clearly see theres no proper investigation being conducted
