Im not sure if this is where I should take this, my daughter bought a business and my wife and I co-signed for loans because of being young and limited credit, this was XXXX, in XXXX her business failed, so knowing We had co-signed I took a home equity loan and paid the loans off, m & t bank was the bank involved. Now moving forward I received a letter from the treasury that a XXXX loan wasnt paid, XXXX of this year XXXX yrs after the fact, so we contacted the daughters bankruptcy lawyer to see what they were talking about, I have the payoff receipts and monthly receipts, but the payoff receipt has one account number and their were 3 loans it was called a bundle loans, our lawyer is trying to get the break down on the payoff where the money was dispersed, my social security is being garnished for a loan I paid, we cant afford to spend thousands on a specialty lawyer, dont know what we can do, any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks Sent from my XXXX
